Months ahead of Christmas, some of the hottest toys for kids have already been decided by a group of leading mum’s bloggers, as part of a Mum’s Choice list of top toys.
A group of influential mummy bloggers teamed up with parenting website UKMums.tv at the toy-specific press preview of the summer, Christmas in July (held on 5th July). As mums always know best, they sought out their must-have toys from the 25 companies in attendance, which they know will be on their children’s wish lists.
In one of the first times a group of mums have been given a platform for sharing their views, the Mum’s Choice list is not an industry compilation but the real opinions of savvy mums.
As holders of the family purse strings, mums are the ones who decide which presents their little ones will be unwrapping, so gaining their approval can be crucial in ensuring that a product reaches ‘must-have’ status, even before the kids have started asking for it!
With a showcase of some of the hottest and most exciting toys to choose from, the select group of mums chose the following top ten toys as the ones they will be buying this Christmas:

In addition to this list, a number of Evolution PR clients also found success in the genre-specific categories, with Flair enjoying success within the Girls Toys catergory and placing several times within the Top Five Creative list. Character Options also made the Top Five lists for Boys Toys, Girl Toys and Preschool categories. Finally, Jakks Pacific's ranges were also voted as the top toys by parents, placing in the Top Five Boy's Toys, Girl's Toys, Gadgets and Creative sections.
